Personal development
I'm at a point in my career where I need to choose more clearly, but how do I do that? How can I communicate priorities more clearly without pushing things through? How can I show more leadership and seniority? How can I show more empathy for my colleagues? How do I get more commitment from my department to my chosen direction?
Coaching
Just a few questions that can be the start of a coaching trajectory. In my coaching of (senior) managers I pay a lot of attention to someone's strengths and how to use them to the fullest in a productive way. Occasionally we therefore need to dig in deeper to find apparent barriers to those strengths, preventing the coachee to trive and flourish. Often the ‘solution’ is much closer.
My coaching style is characterized by a friendly tenacity, placing great value on people's authenticity, the talents and self-wisdom they bring, while at the same time placing those qualities in the context of work and colleagues. Thus, the coaching becomes a growth process that is fully integrated with the work environment and coaching question, and therefore has an immediate and sustainable effect.
Body-oriented work, systemic work
My style of coaching encompasses all kinds of baggage of acquired knowledge and experience. I work from well-known, existing coaching methods, but supplement these with various other techniques and methods that I assess to be appropriate. I like to apply body-oriented work, based on the vision that our body has a lot of information, for example, tension and relaxation, presence and contact, perception, and limitation. Our body not only indicates current disbalance, it often also tells us where to find a solution.
Systemic work, sound, visualization and meditation are also examples of tools that I apply when it is relevant and can be received.
Positive Intelligence (PQ)
Another tool I work with is the PQ score and app from Positive Intelligence ®, the work of Shirzad Chamine. It is a wonderful tool for letting the over-critical voices and beliefs within ourselves, have less negative influence, and get more into a mindset of peace and confidence.
To develop one's effectiveness is to grow to Personal Leadership. It is about understanding oneself, about empathy and about intention.
